ONDRAF 5/22 project: High-integrity handling equipment
Design, construction and installation of high-integrity handling equipment for the Dessel site
ONDRAF is the Belgian body responsible for managing nuclear waste and enriched fissile materials. Belgoprocess, its industrial subsidiary, is in charge of processing and storing Belgian radioactive waste. At the Dessel and Mol sites, Belgoprocess processes all radioactive waste and manages the dismantling of nuclear facilities at the end of their service life.
As part of the operations to decontaminate and dismantle vessels in buildings 105X and 122X located at Dessel site 1, Cegelec CEM was the successful bidder for the 5/22 project relating to high-integrity handling. Cegelec CEM is the representative and leader of a consortium in charge of designing, constructing and installing:
